Hey Travis,
 I believe that the field models were super deformed due to the fact that they were originally intended for the Nintendo 64 Console. Too much time was lost to try and fix the field models by the time the game's production was switched over to the Sony Playstation. My theory makes sense, though I forget where I read the comment on Youtube.com where someone else agreed with me on this. Let me know if this makes sense to you or not.  :-D

Totally.

That guy's voice strangely reminds me of someone from VALVe, but not someone specific - much like VALVe as a whole. Or I'm not really used to American accent.
