Ain't you tired of Fabula Nova Crystallis (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-07-05-square-enix-teases-final-fantasy-13-3)?
-
What does that Tumblr have to with XIII-3?
-
Updated link... it's just that Hope (http://kafkabythesea.tumblr.com/post/18766636567) is going to play a major role in the new episode as the rumors say (I wish it will be the final one).
-
Where does it say that? Those are fan made shots from XIII-2's ending.
-
I lost the first link that lead me to Tumblr but I found this one (http://squareportal.net/tag/the-announcement-of-final-fantasy-xiii-3-is-happening-soon/) and ign's (http://uk.ign.com/videos/2012/07/05/ign-daily-fix-070512)
-
Yeah those comments have been circulating for a while now. Apparently they'll be making an announcement at this years TGS about the continuation or conclusion of the story. Still doesn't mean Hope's going to play any sort of major role. Also, his role in XIII-2 was major enough.
-
Rumors spread he will be a playable character along with Lightning... but those are just rumors... I must admit I'm tired of this world era of ff (Fabula Nova Chrystalis)

Ditto, though some cool new game-play concepts can be contributed from Final Fantasy XIII-2 to future Final Fantasy games, such as the movement of the characters on the field.

I loved the upgrade system too with the crystals... but I'm not really sure about the roles (commando etc.) I don't know why but I prefer ff7's battle system

I prefer Final Fantasy VII's battle system as well. I think it would be cool to mix it with the Battle Systems of FFX and FF XIII-2. It seems to me that no one really cared for the battle system of Final Fantasy XII. Correct me if I am wrong.
-
I think people like 7's better cause all the characters could do everything you just had to equip it. Not just one person can summon or a few can cast spells and one attack.
-
Unlike in ffxiii you play in auto mode since if you waste time to choose any abilities you don't get the five stars... but there's more of the strategic formation you use that counts (paradigm shifts)
-
Paradigm Shifts became something no longer cool after a few hours for me. I agree with @Costa07 as to why Final Fantasy 7's equipment and abilities were the easiest to set up.
-
Can we get an actually interesting and / or likable character this time around?

The characters from Final Fantasy XIII VERSUS look as if they are likable.

Only reason I want SE to stop it with the FFXIII sequels is so that they can pull their fingers out and do an FF7 remake.
Too many children are growing up with CoD nowadays. We need the classic RPGs to educate the children of the future; not shiny sparkly graphics. And especially not battle systems so easy to use that a donkey could play it.

Seems like Square is busy with FFXV right now.
Hopefully they'll get it right and we can forget about the FFXIV debacle.
But is FF in a modern day setting gonna work?
Maybe all these sequels and re-releases are paying for the new engine . . .

Thank you, @Zackwell, I could not agree any more about all of that. Maybe recent technology that makes things simpler for people are to blame.
