Title: Confessions of a Tetris Addict
Post by: LeonhartGR on 2012-07-11 14:49:04
I would have posted this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jA53IkHZJg&feature=g-vrec) in archerxtreme's thread (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13021.msg181120#msg181120) but Tetris has gained a place for it's own over all these years!

Which version of Tetris do you prefer to play?

I prefer Disney's: Magical Tetris Challenge for the Playstation and the Nintendo 64.

Strange though it might sound I prefer playing the retro coin ops version with the joystick... while listening the glinky sound of the coin going down  ;D

I agree. I had the pleasure of seeing a Coin-Op Tetris (the original too!  :-D) at an arcade in Daytona Beach, Florida that was located underneath a human sling shot ride. Unfortunately, it was out of order.

There's an establishment in my corner of the globe known as "Barcade" which is exactly what it sounds like; a bar, and an arcade.  All games are 25ยข a piece, and amongst them is a Tetris machine.  They refuse any games beyond 1989 (they turned down both Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter II).  They keep everything in awesome condition, and serve awesome beer, and last time I was there, I got #4 on the Tetris Machine.
