Title: Sephiroth/Nanaki models
Post by: 999s on 2012-09-11 18:00:43
I really need some help finding some HD models for Nanaki and/or Sephiroth that you can install by using Aali's driver.
Thanks in advance!

Dont send me to kela51's Nanaki model its not what im looking for.

Good luck finding anything better than Kela51's model.. it's the only HD model I've seen of RedXIII, and it is amazing, it's the best character model I've ever seen.  It looks so great in game and in battle.

if you're not satisfied with what is offered here, you need to either make stuff yourself or do the unsupported method

"do the unsupported method"?...

unsupported = I won't tell you here nor will anyone else help you here with that

"do the unsupported method"?...
Stick a picture of RedXIII from the movie on your computer screen and imagine him in hd with your imagination  :P
I'm kidding, but there is a vague hint in there.
Either way both methods are unsupported.

well good luck, kela51's model looks awesome in game, if it doesn't suit your taste you could:

1. look elsewhere since I think kela51 is best around here, (I think)

2. you could wait for weemus he's planning to make custom models for all main characters,

3. then there's the make your own method, you can start trying to make your own models than saying "that sucks.. " to models that other mod maker here put much effort into.

the unsupported method is illegal so dont expect much of it here..
EDIT: As kuugen pointed out, Its only Illegal when distributed, I'm not very sure but I think discussing it here is not encouraged or even permitted,
Title: Re: Sephiroth/Nanaki models
Post by: Tenko Kuugen on 2012-09-17 04:15:26
it's only illegal if you distribute it. if it's not distributed you actually need to own both games to do it, so it's not illegal.
plz2inform yourself before you spread misinformation

Oops sorry my bad, I didn't mean it that way though..I am informed regarding the distribution issue, i was just under the impression that Datapack is asking for links to those unsupported models, and i think giving away those links here is illegal right?

Dude i didnt mean to say that Kelas model sucks, it just doesnt look like nanaki at all...

Also i still have no idea what the illegal method is so im gonna have to guess, is it copying models from other games?

Don't worry dude, no prob with me, just a bit worried the way you said it maybe offending to the creator of the model thats all..

and to correct, as kuugen said its not "Illegal method" sorry that was my bad didnt explain it very well.. you can refer to his post above for explanation as to why its not illegal..

I just downloaded Kela51's Nanaki model and its amazing! I was looking for the shirtless sephiroth model or just a better one in general? I don't want to play as him, just a model for the NPC. I really tried searching hard. To no avail.

EDIT: Also to avoid posting another similar topic, is there a download of hd models (or just better ones at that) of all the playable charachters in the game?

We don't link to models from other games. Respecting a little thing called copyright. ~Covarr

Thank you Yuffie Kisaragi!!! So I just put all of these files into the char.lgp right? Im still new at modding, but learning quickly ;) well how to install them i mean.

Also what about an Aerith one? the only one i found on the big list of mods doesnt really match the other ones.

How to install ?
Follow this ..

Extract your Char.lgp with LGP Tools or Highwind ..
Then copy the Sephiroth model .. paste it to the folder where you extract your Char.lgp .
Lastly save it .. Enjoy the play :)

I have a Aerith Model too :P
But im not at home right now ..
Hmm .. maybe on saturday i will give the link to you :)

Don't be so easily excited! Be careful with the ripped models too. They may crash your game hard or work wrong with the game (not correct transparencies etc.)! Always backup! If you are not an expert user in moddeling I would suggest not use them at all. They have many many problems no matter how cool they might look!

you knew the model was from crisis core
you said so in your post
so obviously you were aware that it was ripped from another game

Dont be so harsh, he said its a model from CC but that doesnt mean it has to be ripped...

from usually means taken from the game not based on the game. i dont disagree with kuugen. the rules are available at all times and users are expected to follow them not blatently ignore them.

this thread was started to ask what sephiroth and red xiii models were available and it turned into conversations about ripped models, the legalities, and im pretty sure petty arguments will start soon. heres your answer.
sephiroth
anifgas sephiroth
grimmys shirtless sephiroth
soon weeemus sephiroth

redxiii
kela51
eventually weeemus.

this thread can be locked

Are you in a different universe or something?
Model from another game = ripped
fact.

I guess he means that the model might be inspired by CC and not ripped from that game, but thats unlikely, haven't seen a CC sephiroth model that's not ripped.

Did you see my Sephiroth model ?
Don't say anything if you have not seen first ..
My Sephiroth model  Actually Like in a Crisis Core .
But does not mean it is ripped from other game ..

I didn't grab this Sephiroth model in any website
in the internet .. I edit this model with me ..

Anyway i already delete this model for nothing to
discuss  about ripped model ..

Lastly ..
Sorry for my bad English :P

you didn't actually needed to delete the model (ripped or not) I think your free to use it, you're just not allowed to give links to that model in here, its against forum rules. you can discuss it outside this forum through mail or something..

if is ripped or not hehehe :P

Dude it doesnt have to  be ripped, it can just be modeled after it.

Reverse that.
You can't directly use model (aka ripping) that has been officially worked by square-enix or whichever company.
Ripping models = nono
Making models based on the game = aok
Making a model that copies it bit by bit =nono

Petty arguing called it. Again this thread can be locked. The models of seph and red can installed using bootleg or umi. Better safe then sorry. To be distributed a model and texture has to made from scratch. If you start with the model and edit it its still ripped. I think models are just like isos. You have to make the copy yourself. If yuffies model is legit then he/she should have everything to prove it is and can go to a mod and ask to release it. Anyway stop the arguing. Yuffie has the chance to prove the model is legit. if yuffie can prove it release if not oh well.

That's what im thinking Omega ..
I want to release that model to prove that is not a ripped from other game ..

Simple pm a moderator. Explain. If they arent sure they can match it up to the cc model. But if it ends up being ripped youre the one at fault that looks like a jack***

I'm not really sure about this, but I think you need more than a screenshot to clear your name, screenshots can be  deceiving specially if the models well made, it'll look like its ripped, how about showing files used to work on this model like the UV's.. the experienced members here will know if its ripped from those..
