Title: question about character modding
Post by: evilbob on 2012-09-12 16:09:26
Hello im new to the modding ff7 scene, i have modded a game before but i was just changing the tracks in mario kart for the wii...
so my question would be what program would i use to mod the characters? and is it possible to take the character models from other ff games and put them in ff7?

like can i take the cloud from advent children and put him in the game?

(Should I recommend him a homebrew tool to rip the model from Advent Children Complete Blue ray Disc?)

Hello evilbob! Read the rules and you will see that importing characters from other games is not supported in this forum because of copyrights. But you can find some tutorials to learn how to rip models if you browse the web. If you own the game of the character you want to rip it's ok. But distributing it to people who don't is considered illegal. For any models and other mods check The Big List of mods (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=12503.msg173799#msg173799). There's put a lot of effort from all modders in qhimm for free to satisfy most ff7 fans. And that tool syntax error suggested does not exist. I guess he was just being sarcastic :P .
