Hello I'm sorry if this sounds stupid but I was wondering how I would go about editing the enemy models in FF7. What I was trying to do was remake the enemy models for FF7 and I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to go about it. Any tips or tools or someone that can point me in the right direction are more than welcome. I just want to give back to this community and I figured redoing the enemy models is the best way possible.

PSX or PC?
For PSX, it's a bit tedious, but certainly workable. I've made a few threads concerning battle models in the Scripting/Reverse Engineering forum which explain the process and break down the relevant data, and a few others have made some modified models using this information.

Oh sorry for not elaborating but I was talking about PC.

Kimera, Bitrun, P-creator and this: battle_database.txt (http://www.alhexx.com/documents/other/battle_database.txt).
I guess Kimera is the first tool you should look in. It will help you to understand the behavior of FF7 model structur.
You will need Bitrun to export the .p-Files to a .3ds-format and p-creator to export back a .3ds-file to a .p-file.
The list may help you to find the right models you wish to edit.

Thanks a lot, hopefully your help can get me started. Although I was having trouble with Kimera but I figured it out now. Another question I have though is would I be able to model things in 3dsmax or Blender then convert it to a .p file or are there problems with that?

I'm so looking forward for this project :P :P :P Good luck!

@E1sunz Oh I totally overlooked that on the bootleg mod list ( ゚ Д゚). Thank you for that, I'm going to go through all of it to learn what I can.
Thanks for the help everyone.
