Title: FF7 Difficulty Mod Recommendation
Post by: cjmstate on 2013-06-09 15:37:17
Looking for a difficulty mod recommendation from those with experience.

Played through the game on normal (which is always easy) and enjoyed the story nonetheless. Beat the weapons without KOTR which was a challenge and now I'm on Sephiroth.

What's the best difficulty mod recommendation for a tougher Sephiroth with chars lvl 90+?

I tried reasonable difficulty and seemed to kill him in 2 rounds of attacks. Not that interested in hardcore due to the materia swaps (turns my master magic into banish..).

Thoughts?

I'm playing on PC. I didn't like Hardcore b/c it changes all the materia. My master magic materia suddenly turns into "banish". Not sure how Nightmare works, but I think that requires a full game re-install, since it doesn't show up for mod switching.

There's that reasonable difficulty mod by hay http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=4759.0

But I've never played it.

Has anyone just made a normal boosted scene mod?  like...someone could make a 2-3x HP, ~2-4X stats, 2X level scene mod and that would suit a lot of players' purposes I would think.

N7 requires a clean install, yeah. It's not finished yet though.
