Of course Square, being the asshats that they are shut this down...

I really... REALLY want the Cloud and Sephiroth one.

Does anyone have those models in a more modern file format that I could take to a local 3D printer?

It was a matter of time that they find out of it. Any design is copyrighted, so you will need a license from a company to sell it.

This was a hot topic of debate after 3D printers were made "public". It is a copyrighted design and cannot be produced without permission of the copyright holders.
