Title: Audio popping in the 2012 version after battles
Post by: x033 on 2013-10-07 21:31:20
Has nobody else seriously noticed this or figured out a solution? I've checked with google and can't find anyone else ever mentioning it.

You can hear it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSwQ2IZB8c4#t=102 It's incredibly annoying. Obviously this is an example of how it should sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBnttA00VTk#t=2599

Hmm... Seems to be related to looping the exp tally sound. I can't say I'd ever noticed this before, but I can confirm it does this to me also.

I need a bit more info's from you. If you stay in a scene with background sound (first reactor) and if you go into the menu and move the cursor, will the sound of the cursor affect the background sound and make it quieter?

Hm? Nope the background sound stays the same. I don't think this issue is to me only it seems to happen to everyone with the 2012 version.  Not sure if this happens in the 98 PC release.

I have both visions, the 98' and the the 2012', in one folder. I had a problem with the sound, but solved it. However after I start the 2012 rerelease, which has updated some files,  I got the problem again. The main problem I currently have is that the volume ramp of the sound doesn't work correctly and most times the sound is loud as hell while it should be a bit quieter.

I wonder if it'd be possible to replace that sound file to fix it
