I'm wondering what Square Enix will do now that all "classic" FF games have been remade or enhanced for mobile (1-6).
Do you think we'll see FF7, 8 or 9 on mobile next?
-
I'm hoping for a Type-0 localization finally!
-
Huh? Wasn't Type-0 released here in America?
edit:
If SE's still thinking of remaking their older games, I think they should remake FF8 before remaking FF7, and of course, retranslate the game, fixing the mistakes they committed in the past (and who knows, adding something new to the plot, so that the game would feel more complete).

Type 0 is Japan only. Though there is a fan translation that's about 60% complete...

Why didn't Square Enix translate it?

I could have sworn the dev team doing the mobile games confirmed that the average Android device wouldn't have the space available for a mobile port of anything over 6.

I don't think even the most powerful phones would be able to run 7, 8, or especially 9.
-
Considering they can emulate the PS1 versions, I don't see why not. A native port could only be an improvement.

Let's remake the remakes! That should squeeze a few more dollars out.
-
FFIII and FFIV have been remade, but I, II, V and VI are just extreme makeovers or extensive mods to the original games. All these games look best in there newest ios remake versions, but they still have 4 of them to totally remake into 3D. So it'll still be awhile before they tackle any ps1 games. As well as doing HD remakes like KH, X and III(sorta). So that would be full 3d remakes of I, II, V and VI and then HD remakes for I, II, IV, V, VI, VIII, IX, XII etc.

Released too late in the PSP's lifespan for America: happened to some other games like Danganronpa (which is finally getting translated as a Vita title)

The "remake" is not a remake but a lazy excuse and a disgrace to the original. They're not even financing remakes like this because that's how much of a sh*t they give about what they're making these days. And they're newer games I don't even want to talk about.
You know what? Turn based combat rules. Random combats rule.
There, I said it. I love to stay in one area for hours and keep grinding. Because it always feels like I have accomplished something. A feeling which the series didn't provide since FF XII. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks like this... That's why I don't give a f*ck about what they're making now.
