It doesn't matter if you have got the patch or not, the Chocobo race WON'T work on Windows XP, but I have found a solution to this problem: look at my post on 'Frequently Asked Questions' then 'Chocobo races working under Windows XP'.

It explains how to get FF7 working with Windows 2000/XP, but if that doesn't work, try downloading this patch:

http://www.qhimm.com/ff7_chocobo_patch.zip

All you have to do is unzip this to your FF7 folder, and double-click the patch's exe.

I hope you can understand my English, since you said that you don't seem to be too great at it. :)

- PS: The French version of the 1.02 NVidia patch, is located here:

http://www.eidosinteractive.co.uk/gss/legacy/ff7/ff7_tnt.zip

It's pretty big, since it does have the French version of the patch, along with a few more diffrent languages.

It's worth noting here that the current chocobo patch distribution does not support the french FF7. This will change in the future, though.

I have found a solution for french version of FF7.
with an hexadecimal editor : search e4000fbf9401b886010083c2038b45f8 and replace with e4000fbf94010000500083c2038b45f8.
Ok on FF7 1.00, i am not test on 1.02.

Sorry for my very bad english....
