This is absolutely worth a read (http://www.avclub.com/article/for-our-consideration-turnerization-classic-games-107150), especially if you are annoyed by how ugly the recent Android/iOS releases of Final Fantasy V and VI are.

And on the other hand... Square likes to play sensitive on any abuse of their creations, by bashing innocent modders and Let's Players!!! Pffff...

It's all opinion. Personally, the new graphics of FFV and FFVI don't bother me, though I kinda wish they looked more like FFIVCC on PSP.
