We celebrate the whole week in Greece. Church is open everyday and each day represents an event in Jesus history during the days before his crucifixion... We call it the Great Week (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvfoYXrFxW0). Of course the climax is on Sunday which represents the day of His resurrection. But most of the fest occurs during that week.

Gotcha. For the Roman Catholic church, this week is Holy Week, with a 3-day celebration beginning on Holy Thursday, running through Good Friday up until an Easter Vigil mass. However, a lot of Catholics just go to Easter Sunday instead because it's easier.
