Wolfram Alpha is the greatest gift mankind has given to calc students. I'm finishing up a semester of precalc and it is hard as balls for me.

It could be related to a 24-hour clock. Figuring out the exact angle based on that is really easy.

Actually I think it's because Square wanted to store angles in 8-bit addresses, which only go up to 256.

It is.  360 does not lie within the 1 byte range and they left it as 1 byte.
