Title: FF8 Script extender?
Post by: Mcindus on 2014-05-31 03:25:36
Would there be a way to extend the scripting capabilities of the original ff8.exe?  Just a thought - it might help with a future mod.  They did a script extender for Skyrim to deal with similar Mod issues, but I don't really know anything about it at all.

I had once the same thoughts for 7. But as far as I understand skse, it only enables new papyrus script commands for the game.  I think the engine of 8 is advanced enough, it's a shame that it is so hard to mod. Only a physic plugin would be nice if we can change the models, but this is only nice dreaming.

What kind of scripting capabilities did you have in mind? FF8's scripting engine is pretty robust.
