I got the 2012 version of FFVII. I downloaded tifa's huge torrent pack and installed everything according to the tutorial, but when I press run bootleg, a small black window appears for less than half second and absolutely nothing happens?? No bootloaders, no mods ingame, nothing! I can't even take a screenshot! All the mods are either green or yellow and messing with the presets doesn't help >:(
I installed the game in C:/FFVII and bootleg + mods in C:/Games/FFVII MODS and ran it as an administrator.
Sorry for my crappy english, any help would be MUCH appreciated!! :-(  :|

Take a screenshot of your Installation tab and post it.

Sorry for being a total a$$, but how do I post a screenshot here?

Delete the FF7 Install Image and leave its line blank.

Done, didn't do anything :-(

I don't see why this fails. There is probably something wrong on your end, because no matter your options or installation folders, Bootleg isn't supposed to do that. Even when not running as admin you still see something in there. Is any Anti-Virus software disabled? Is UAC turned off?
-
Both are turned off... I'd love to see this working someday!! (at least on my end)
One of my favourite games of all time? Are there any other suggestions? :-\
-
Well that's really odd... I'm sorry I can't help you further if the issue's not related to Bootleg directly (which I assume it's not). Maybe there's something running in the background causing it to fail?
-
Ok, now I managed to capture the whole thing. When I press Run Bootleg, it says "SUCCESS: The file (or folder): C:\Games\FFVII MODS\Bootleg.exe" now owned by the administrators group." ??
Edit: Also "processed file: C:\Games\FFVII MODS\Bootleg.exe. Succesfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files"
this goes way beyond my understanding...

p.s If someone solves this, I will officially give you my soul!

What the hell? This is definitely not caused by Bootleg. I have never even heard of something like that before, does anyone know what this is?
Now that I think of it. Try to install the latest .NET runtime libraries (found on the Microsoft website). BFE uses VB.NET and that might be a failure there.
-
didn't work.
Seems like this isn't a common problem... Damnit! :-( :x
-
anyone knows what causes this?? :-o
-
I think there's a good chance it might be caused by the non-legit version of Windows that you are using.
