I really need to know if there is a particular patch/program that can upgrade the game script (and eliminate the annoying censored words), or allow you to modify it yourself. If anyone knows of anything, please help me out!

Well, if you're talking about FF7 then that's *exactly* what my editor, Cosmo, is designed for ;)
For FF8 you have Garden, written by Qhimm.
However, neither is 'complete'. Cosmo still isn't 100% compatible; some levels it'll fail to edit, or break so they won't load properly. Nevertheless, you can edit quite a lot of the data with it.
Garden, I can't really comment on, but it's a definite beta app.
You can get Cosmo from my site http://ficedula.cjb.net - a bit out of date, but I haven't updated Cosmo in the past few months anyway, so that should be alright...

Yes, I'm talking about FF7 :wink: . Okay, that site you gave me had an internal server error, but I managed to get Cosmo 094 (UK...does it matter?). But I can't run it because I don't have FICEDULA.DLL and I can't get it anywhere (even the website listed in the "readme"). Can you please direct me?

Hmmm ... the server's just been upgraded, so I need to change some parts of my site to make them show properly. (The old server didn't have PHP fully working, so all the PHP pages were modified to work with that ... now PHP /does/ work the scripts don't execute properly :/ I'll try and get it done soon).
Anyway, practically any version of FICEDULA.DLL should work fine for Cosmo - the most recent (which is 1.5.something) should definitely be OK ;) FICECONSOLE.DLL is the one that goes through large changes each version, but it's only things like the Remake engine that use scripting as a core feature that actually use that much ;)

I got the FICEDULA.DLL and the program works :wink: . I understand that you said only some of the levels can be edited...but dang. I want to be able to edit the whole thing. Ficedula, I have to say this program is awsome :P , but are you working on making it flawless so anyone can LOVE IT?

Heh. Well, um. I have a lot of projects on my plate at the moment, and Cosmo isn't one I've been making progress on ... specifically, there's some things just don't work and I've totally run out of ideas. So I haven't really made many updates at all in the past few months. I generally spend most of my time on projects where I can make visible progress given a few hours of work, y'know? :) The Remake project is currently one of those...

Slight update; my site is now up and more-or-less working, so updates from now on should be available from ficedula.cjb.net as before - this server is pretty permanent now; hopefully no downtimes...
