When Aeris dies, why don't they use a phoenix down or the life spell? I can just imagine cloud saying "Oh shit! I could have revived her!"
-
Okay, I'm going to explain something here. First that shoulda been in a spoiler but I doubt anyone here didn't know about Arieth dying. Second, in Final Fantasy when you "die" you take so many wounds that you cannot continue fighting. That's why in some it's called swooning. The "Life" spell and "Pheonix Down" Item, heals your great injuries and brings you back to conciousness. Since she had her heart impaled, I don't think she was just unconcious... Now if it had been Dungeons and Dragons, that would be a different story. But it's not.

But in the first one it says "slain". anyway, this is a stupid question thing. your suppose to give a stupid answer and add another stupid question.

Well up to that point...aeris most likely had every attack in the book thrown at her like missiles and gunshots and grenades not to mention being burned and frozen and lazered and whatever else hapened to her
and she still was able to be revived. Basically...if it happens in a cutscene...it's about 4 billion times more leathal

DAH-HA! Smurgen has discovered the illogical humour inside of my comment. Go Smurgen.
If this is supposed to continue: How can they survive being frozen, incinerated, chop-up, shot, and blown-up?

I'm pretty sure that when characters "die" during a battle, they only get knocked out.
Of course, the battle attacks would be quite lethal in real life, but who cares, maybe the battle world is made of cotton or something. And anyway, who could survive being stabbed through the heart by Sephiroth? 'cept me of course, I'm well 'ard. 8)

Didn't young tifa get sliced in half by sephy and she dosen't even have a scar!
-
I WOULD! Becuase I'm too stuborn to die. Thought Aaron might say I'm too stupid to die. Take your pick. I don't really have a heart. It's not located in my chest but more around my left pinky toe!
I like the cotton idea though.

Amazing what the Cure & Heal spells can do, huh? ;)
In all reality, she probably DOES have a scar. The fact that we don't hear about it, or see it is a mere technicality.

They can survive because they have nanomachines in them!
