Title: FF8 Dreamworld Byte location
Post by: AD1018 on 2002-09-14 06:05:16
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the memory address of the "Dream World" byte in FF8.  I've also heard that this byte controls a few other things, like Odin/Gilgamesh being enabled and some of Rinoa's limits.  Please correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have no knowledge about this, but i think that in this topic (http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=1447) is discussed something about it.

Yeah, that topic did discuss it, but I'm looking for the address that the function adresses, specifically.  I would normally look at the Griever source code and check it out myself, but that's not currently possible on the computer I'm using.

That other topic does raise some interesting questions, though.  Does it mean that one could have Odin and Gilgamesh at the same time?  Or is there another byte and or checksum that would prohbit this?

I have took a peek at Griever code and i think that offset of dreamworld byte in file is 3746 (0xEA2), but i havent tested it.
