TeamFourStar, the guys behind DragonBall Z Abridged, have just created a new show focused on FF7, made using a combination of in-game footage, voice acting, and heavy video editing. It's called Final Fantasy VII: Machinabridged, and the first episode can be found here:

Thoughts? Seems like a decent start, but definite room for improvement.
edit: I'm gonna keep a list here, for easy watching.

For "abridged" it's rather long for how little game they show.
I think I'll stick to DBZ:A and YGOTAS:A if LittleKuriboh ever gets around to making more.
-
Ehhhh, watched the first few mins, not my cup of tea. It had a few good gags but I'm not prepared to sit through the rest of the "wacky cartoon network" humour.

Definitely not as good as their DBZ stuff. Hopefully it only gets better

That's really my thought. It's a shaky start, but then, so was DBZ Abridged, and now that's one of the funniest things on the internet. But again, there is room for improvement, especially as their characters become better defined over time. I'm gonna give it probably four or five episodes to start to impress me.

Episode two is out.
Bit inconsistent with censoring the swearing, f*ck gets a beep but cocksuckers doesn't.
Still enjoying it though.
-
Episode 3 is up (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kr07Cf1el4). The jokes are still a little too try-hard, and the characters still feel a bit flat* and one-dimensional, but it's improving.
*Especially Tifa, who I can only assume has flat writing to compensate for other less-flat... uh... assets.

Here comes episode 4 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guFU4U98wV4). Far and away the funniest episode yet, and Aeri
sthsthsth is great, and I'm finally glad I kept watching past the first few.
-
That part where they went from Aeris to Aerith had me rolling
-
The 4th episode was really great, the ones before were so-so.
-
Not exactly the same, but has anyone else seen the "Every JRPG Ever" video from CollegeHumor? That was pretty funny. I don't know if it's really every JRPG, but it definitely has strong FF7 influences.
-
That was ... awesome :P

Hey! Episode 5! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bi9mdwC-xnM)
Dress shopping. Context is everything.

It was good, but it was so short. I almost wish I would of waited a year from now so I could binge watch them but I'm past the point of no return now and will probably watch them as soon as I know they are up and have time.
-
Episode 6 is here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIk3KUy2XTE). Not quite as strong as 4 and 5 were, but still pretty good.
-
Episode 7 is out (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUl04tS46Wg). Funniest yet, IMO.
-
Episode 8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ15H7paedU).
"Please take care of my daughter, because you are awesome and sell the dankest of inhalants." -Ifalna
-
Episode 9 is here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDnlR7mJzAM). Introducing Red XIII, who is totally miscast.
-
Episode 10 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmWKiHpw4M4). It's a bit on the long side compared to the others, but also the best written yet by a significant margin.

Full Season 1 Album (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RTSIqf2CC0):
They released all the music they remixed for the show, and I think it's pretty well done.
