Title: Texture Memory Values?

What is the recommended value for Texture Memory? I usually have mine set at 1024.
What negative side effects might I experience?

As high as possible is recommended. If you go to 1024, but experience graphical glitches at any point during a single game launch, then you don't have enough memory to support it. Keep lowering until the glitches go away.

I have 4 GB of memory, more precisely 3.6 GB available for use, should I go for 768 or 1024? Maybe lower?

I've never had a problem when set to any of the values :/ so I'd like to know which would work best ^.^
