In the past, there were options to remove these caps with the Reunion mod, but that doesn't seem to be an option anymore. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this now???
-
it actually originated in yamp days and yes
-
So is there still any way to break the 9999 limit?
I am guessing there used to be a mod in the mod catalogue but it isn't there now?
Thanks in advanced :)

If I do not misunderstand YAMP only works with 1998 version? Is this correct?

An alternative solution to break the hp/mp 9999 caps is to divide all damage and health points across the game (players and monsters alike) by a factor of 10, that way your 999 will be the equivalent of the original 9999, but with the theoretical possibility of reaching 9999 which would be equivalent to the original 99999.
Not sure if this is harder to implement, just wanted to provide a different point of view to it, just in case a direct solution to modify the actual hp/mp caps is not provided.

So is there a mod/patch or not?

There is YAMP, it should work with 1998 1.02 version. http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=5124.0

A quick question again, the patcher works (following the instructions from the linked Thread), but it seems to mess up the UI (in battle and in the menu), any idea why that's happening or how to fix it? And thanks for the reply!

it patches the menu UI, but patches more than it needs to.
I will do a 7h patch of this without the excess UI patching.

Hello Chrysalis, do you still want to add the option to break the 9999 limit in some *.iro mod ?
-
I think this is an option in the "this mod are sick" mod that got released.
-
unfortunately that mod has gotten removed any chance for you to still do your version?
