I was wondering if 'eight' supports WinXP. cuz after i try and extract a data file, i get a message saying "windows memory system is too low" then another saying That Windows Automaticaly terminated the program, because it caused iternal errors and such.

I believe you might try recompiling it using VC.NET It should run just fine then after you are done. Otherwise you might have to ask someone to recompile it for you under XP.
Win XP != Win32 compatible (understatement of the year).

Does this happen with *every* file you try to extract, or just large ones?

Try running that Biach in win95 or 98 compatability mode. That should do the trick.

I hate to yell at people for this, but I can't just not do it... especially since I'm a mod :P
Don't resurrect old topics. When people stop posting in a topic, it's usually a sign that everything of value has been said. Thus, if nobody's posted in a topic for more than a week or two, consider it dead and don't post in it (unless you have an important follow-up or question exactly on-topic, and the topic is still recent). If you post just a comment on something somebody said ... chances are no-one will care because it's been a while since everything was posted.
