Title: SMOOTH RUNNING MODS ON MINI PC? // FFVII
Post by: dentsu on 2020-04-15 15:49:20
Hei guys,

I have recently found this site and decided i wanted to replay my old time favourite with mods.
However i wanted to give it a bit of a challenge..

I do have a fairly good system running all the mods but this is a tower PC which is at my living room.

Like some of you i would like to enjoy this somwhere else, maybe in bed or another room without moving my tower.
I decided to look into small portable pcs(up to 300eur) and i was wondering if the graphic card in those are enough to handle the high detail 1080p mods?
Most of the units i was looking at feature an Intel UHD Graphics 600/610.

If anyone has experience with set ups like this or has a good alternative i would really appreciate it!

Best

The game is 23 years old, so almost anything out there will work fine. I would imagine the Intel 600 series would be fine, just give it a decent amount of shared RAM in the BIOS/UEFI. Faster performance RAM helps with this as well. As long as it supports OpenGL 2.0 you should be OK.

Thanks for the reply!

I was rather worreid about the game than the mods. But yeah it makes sense even so.

Guess i will give it a try.

Thanks again, appreciated.
