useful for remake maybe?
-
My computer, at least, isn't showing any picture there. Correction required?
-
If it still doesn't show, try going to tthe actual image location. Nice work ShinRa Inc!
-
it's a large file, that might be the problem;

"You are not authorized to view this page."

Ditto. ;)

It's a bit dark, but I'm guessing the added rocket is your work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't there already be a background image with the rocket already in FF7? Or didn't they show the whole rocket?
I don't really get what you've done. :isee:

I can't see it any of the links. It says im not authorised. If you want you can put it to my trashbin (http://bin.mypage.sk).

Ditton I get ye olde forbidden message.
Perhaps they thought you were hosting pr0n? ;)
So what is it? :)

Open a new window and paste the image's URL in there.

The actual BGs for Rocket Town in the game have the Rocket at a 20° list, and the gantry messed up somewhat, and then later demolished when the rocket launches.
Those BGs depict Rocket Town before ShinRa Type 26 was rolled out to the pad, and before it's failed launch.

It does not work in new window either. But saving on hdd (rightclick+save, or using d/l software) and viewing works.
-
Oh... downloading it now.
I think in order to be used in Remake though you need to have a tileset editor for the 16x16 blocks of image information created in FF7 for backgrounds. Animation/sprite frames as well. I've been working on this for a bit, reading these files that is, once that works writting them and editing them is next.
I see what you did now.. all things considered the rocket program died five years earlier right? That's when all the events of Sephiroth and Cloud were happening. I think they were probably just building #26 at that time or a few years earlier to it. Need to have the complete book of FF7 available ;)

Why don't you just write a new display engine, instead of doing the 16x16 blocks?

Try refreshing your browser... it worked for me at least. (Internet Explorer)

I believe copywrite issues were sited from the remake project, first it needs to have compatible data files with the FF7 engine. they want it to be an addon not a replacement.

Alright. Then why don't they create a seperate BG renderer (Hell, do video too) and use that as a mod?
You could have the files merely bypass the main engine like how FF7Music does.
-
Again, we want this to be an add-on, not a replacement. In addition, it should keep with the original FF7 "feel" and be backwards-compatible with FF7's data files. In this light, it may be better to stick with FF7's way of doing things rather than making our own.
