Anyone know how to get rid of that annoying "click" that IE makes when it loads something?
-
Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Windows Explorer > Start Navigation
Just clear that sound.
-
I love you!
-
Bah, I love that sound!
-
IE sucks, why bother.
-
Because you suck, and your mom likes using IE with me. XD

Thats the problem, Its integrated with Microsoft Windows, so if Windows explorer has a problem, so does Internet explorer. Plus I went back to using IE a week ago, then the first site I went to automatically downloaded crap, I had no idea what was going on. Then I just decided not to use IE ever again.

Explorer doesn't crash with IE if you set Windows to launch it as a seperate process.
-
I don't bother with any other browsers simply because I don't care. I occasionally eradicate every last turd that IE puts on my computer, so in the end I don't care. But you're right, that sound is annoying. It makes me want to put my hand in a blender.
-
HAHA, I hate IE, but I like that sound.

I use opera, for the pure and simple reason that I LOVE mouse gestures. but I haer the new mozilla has them, so I may switch, because, VERY rarely, a site won't work with Opera, but I have a feeling that those sites qwon't work with mozilla either...
-
I was just going to say...if u have IE...goto Mozilla...they are pretty good. It loads like 5x faster, has 5x less crap, has popup blockers...and a bunch of other good shtuff.

I'm a Netscape fan myself...

Hey Seph...Netscrape was based off of Mozilla. ^_^ :o
-
i make music wiht the click sounds when i get bored lol
-
Correct... But the latest version of Mozilla totally sucks from what I hear...
-
I dunno Seph...I've been constantly updating my version, and helping them with nightly builds and all that, and I've never had it crash. I use it probably for at least 6 hrs a day...and 90% of all browsing goes through it. ^_^ Who knows?? Maybe I'm just lucky. :D
-
I used to use Nutscrape... i just got tired of pages being viewed differently.. I dont think browser types make that much of a difference.. except for the tabbed view thing.. also the fact that it is integrated into m$ windows should make it easier to use.. like their WMP.. I hate to say it but its really just kinda easier to leave it there then get a new one.. especially when there isnt anything IE wont load.. or so i havent seen.. And as for the thing that automattically downloaded on your machihne check that you have the latest version of everything from windows update they may have patched that.. also ... You can customize quite a bit of stuff in your browser preferences...

The latest Mozilla rules IMO. But I don't like IE for one simple reason: adware. It is too succeptible to "attacks" that force you to view ads at random times, even when IE is not open. Also, IE has toolbar addons which get automatically installed. I now have software o prevent this, but I shouldn't HAVE TO. So I don't like IE and use Mozilla.

Gotta get mad about this again :P Not to be mean or anything but
Don't resurrect old topics. When people stop posting in a topic, it's usually a sign that everything of value has been said. Thus, if nobody's posted in a topic for more than a week or two, consider it dead and don't post in it (unless you have an important follow-up or question exactly on-topic, and the topic is still recent). If you post just a comment on something somebody said ... chances are no-one will care because it's been a while since everything was posted.
[Edit] Silly grammar.

I was not aware that a month was considered that old. I see much older stuff. Oh well. Sorry.
