What exactly IS a soundfont? I've always wondered that. :oops:

It's a file that contains a set of intruments, that only Sound Blaster card can use. (such as the 'Sblive! card')

With an SBfont editor, you can replace intruments, thus changing the way an midi file sounds. SBfonts only effect the sounds of MIDI files. It's really simple to change instuments...the hard part is finding the replacements...and getting them to sound good together.

Well, its not really hard at all, just really time consuming if you want to make something good. I only work like 10min at a time because it gets too boring and starts to give you headaches when you loop a small samples wrong. I have all night to kill so I think I will work on this little pile of crap I have going...
