Title: Some news on FF movie, DVD release.

The best time to buy DVD movies is during the first week of release (Well for us in the States it is anyway, from 'Best Buy'). The reason? Because, 'Best Buy' competes with Online prices during that first week.

I always buy CDs ASAP too. Why? Because the Target chain store is a bitch, and raises CD prices as soon as a single on a corresponding album gets popular. So, um, yeah. Thanks for the info.

BAH!! I don't have a DVD player yet . . .

. . . looks like I'm gonna have to wait for the VHS to come out.

Buying VHS movies right away is not necessarily the best time. Why? It's simple. Because, in this aspect, the Target chain store is NOT a bitch, and does not increase its prices based on video popularity.

You can play a DVD CD on PC right? You'll still need a DVD CD-ROM though~

GeForce 3 Ultra + tons of RAM + great screen + pizza! + coke + friends = GREAT VEIWING EXPERIENCE!!!

Well, catch the movie on cinema, you'll never regret the 'feel'~

Sure, a PC DVD-ROM will play DVD movies fine. If you haven't bought a DVDROM yet, make sure you get one that can be made regionless though...

A hardware decoder would let you play DVDs even on, say, a P150. However a lot of video cards have hardware motion compensation which is kind of like partial hardware DVD acceleration. With that, a 500MHz CPU (like mine!) should offer perfect playback, assuming you get proper support in the DVD player.
