Hi!
I recently had to recopy FF7 PC, as disc 2 was starting to get worn out! :D
Anyway, I just copied it over with Windows XP's built-in CD burner. The discs had no subchannel data or anything, so I just copied the files on their own. The installation was fine, if a little slower, but some of the FMV files are now 'glitchy', and it's a permanent glitch as the original FMV files are OK. Now, as some of you may know, CloneCD has now shut down due to certain laws, but I still have the latest version of it. Is there a 'fix' for the XP in-built burner?

Oh .. i had no idea cloneCD got shut down or just stopped themselves i will have to look at their site.. oh and yeah there is a fix for the XP cd burner.. Dont use it... Use CloneCD for isos or Nero for audio/other junk

Actually due to the new EU laws they sold their assests to another company
IE Elaborate Bytes sold CloneCD to another company to protect themselves
-
Hi!
I didn't know that they did that! :D
Oh, and is there any way of editing the CloneCD image file without editing the other contents of the CD? What I mean is, can I delete a folder from the image file and will that leave the other contents an exact duplicate of the original CD? :-?
Oh, and I don't like WinISO! (Too many grammar errors!) :D

Too bad, because that's definately the program I would recommend.

Alcohol Software.... they pretty much stole the market from clonecd the last 2 years or so anyhow.......

I'd agree. Alcohol 120%'s virtual drive beats both Daemon-Tools and Virtual CloneDrive. The CD ripping/burning is alos far superior.
-
I use the newest Nero, burns anything I throw at it. But I hear Alcohol 120% beats out Nero so...
-
I actually had problems with alcohol crashing on me.. perhaps now i will have to start dealing with it and figure a way to use it..
-
Alcohol and Clone-cd are both very good indeed, although Nero BurningRom works pretty well for me as well.
Too bad Clone-cd was shut down, I didnt know.
-
I always use either CloneCD or Nero, mostly Nero, but i'd say CloneCD is better, i only use Nero more because CloneCD always freezes  .

What version of clone cd are you using?
