Title: Breeding the Ultimate Chocobo (FF7)
Post by: macksting on 2003-12-24 07:21:15
I've been trying to create the ultimate chocobo. Gold isn't enough, not even at 158 kph, so I took a cue from Hojo and Shinra; I infused it with the cells of Jenova. I have unlocked a whole new plateau of potential; it's smarter, faster, more driven to succeed, and even eliminates the competition. But I just can't go anywhere with it, 'cause the moment I start riding it, it keeps trying to go north!

That can't be true. How can you infuse it with Jenova cells? And can you give us a screenshot?

You need to put it in a tube of Mako after you infuse it with Jenova, that'll stop it heading north all the time. Alternatively, take it to the Nibelheim reactor and stick it in there.

*chuckles* I do apologize, I hadn't meant for this post to be taken seriously, Sephiroth. In all sobriety, it was a jest, nothing more. But damn, now you have me wanting to make screenshots of a ghastly dark, twisted and tentacled black chocobo with mako eyes.

Besides, Cloud still went north, right?
Damn these failed experiments... If only Gast were still around.

On another note... This probably isn't intended, this forum I mean, as a place to pick up fan mods/expansions and such, is it. Don't worry, that's not why I'm here... Had a tech question about FF1 (posted in the tech area), but the idea of Final Fantasy mods and fangames was... enticing.

Aye, the idea is truly awesome. I wonder how long chocobos have been around on that world... Were they around when the Cetra arrived?

Or maybe the Cetra brought them from their homeplanet...?

i imagine a mako chocobo would look kinda of silvery with really smooth hair, lots of hair, but not too thick. and its eyes would be a darkish purple and it would have a purple aura and yea it would look cool.

I always assumed that, as an "itinerant race," they didn't have a home planet anymore. Whether the entire species moved as a unit or whether they were known to increase in population and spread out as diverging nomadic bands is another question, though.
Sadly, I suspect they prefer zero population growth.
