Title: How to unbind a controller button in in-game controls window?

I want to unbind the left trigger on my controller (L2) in 7th heaven. However, when I unbind it in the "Set In-Game Controls" window and click "Save" it resets all the controller assignments to default. See picture below. The next time I open this window, everything will be reset to defaults. Is there a way to unbind the L2 trigger?
