its worked well up til now
im in the rocket town, ive just met Cid and as we try to escape on the Tiny Bronco, before the crash landing, the game crashes to desktop

Any scratches on the CD?
-
Could be that the game can't play the movie off of the CD. Try locating it and playing it with Windows Media Player to see if there are any problems, or copying it off the disc.

i seem to have found the problem
when i try to play the movie in windows using media player, it gives me an error, which leads me to believe that the file is corrupt
the error causes wmp to close and reads:
AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2980 ModName: mpeg2dmx.ax
ModVer: 2.0.84.30429 Offset: 0000dff3
the particular movie is called: 'jairofal'
if someone could send me this over msn or however, i would very much appreciate it!!!
my email is [email protected]
thanks

Hi!
I'm very concerned about the error message.
AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2980 ModName: mpeg2dmx.ax
ModVer: 2.0.84.30429 Offset: 0000dff3
I wonder why wmplayer.exe is quoting that the module 'mpeg2dmx.ax' is causing the problem. Why is it using that codec to try and play a movie which is using the TrueMotion codec? :-?
xeriouxi.

Do you have DVD X Copy Platinum installed? If you do then remove that and then try again. Or simply rename the file mpeg2dmx.ax to mpeg2dmx.ax.old and then try again.

I have the exact same problem. Heres how I fixed it. Rename the defective movie (for example: origjairofal.bak) now, use any of the movies as a replacement. For instance, I used u_ropego.avi. Just make a copy of u_ropego.avi, and rename that copy to jairofal.avi.
So now you have:
the original jarofal.avi renamed to origjairofal.bak
u_ropego.avi
and a copy of u_ropego.avi renamed to jairofal.avi
when you play the game, and it gets to the point where it plays jairofal.avi, you will see the u_ropego movie instead. But you will at least get to continue playing the game.
This assumes all your movies are played off the hard drive, and not the cd.
I hope this helps

Isn't that movie kinda big.....I really doubt Hotmail will allow anything above 500k through, a meg at the most....but I highly doubt a meg will be allowed. And I don't thing anyone will be nice enough to go through all the trouble of splitting it up with Winrar, in 200k increments.

I think hotmail and yahoo allow 1 mb attachments.. you could always ftp or send it through messenger.. or aim or something.
