Title: FFVIII Model Viewer Problems
Post by: Afrotronics on 2004-03-09 21:24:14
Some of the models have body parts that are backwards.  By looking at the progam, might anyone be able to reverse-engineer it and fix the problem?

Done and done. I made a program which does the same as his viewer, but fixes the quadrangle problem of the original viewer (and also backwards textures/body parts). It's not ready for release yet though, I was planning to incorporate non-battle model support as well.

hi Qhimm could you extend your (unrelesed yet) viewer usability by  creating export from ff8 models to lightwave or 3dstudio formats.
Or maybe you could send details of  ff8 models coding to Mirex and he would then incorporate it into his biturn 3d format converting utility

What's the point? You have to line up all the little models and then animate them. Your better off starting from scratch.
