By any means, don't install IE6!

It doesn't support Netscape-compatible plug-ins anymore, which means that you can only use ActiveX plugins. The more important ones like Shockwave, Flash, and Quicktime have been converted to ActiveX, but some less common plug-ins aren't.
And they've placed MSN everywhere. IE5 had it everywhere too, but IE6 is even able to surpass that.

Don't download it, it's just another try of Microsoft to take over the web.

The IE6 that comes with winxp is much more stable than IE5 and better, however the IE^ on my winme pc from the web looks very similar to IE5, not much different.
btw winme has V 6.0.2479.0006

Maybe I'll get it once I here more about it . . . (and I get an MSN CD that has it.  Installing stuff over a 56K connection is NOT fun.)

I have 98 with ie6, been running it about 2 weeks now.  No worse than any of the rest of them, certainly better than 5 when that first came out.

I've got with with WinME, and it's the most stable, fastest browser I've ever had. Aside from some minor aesthetics issues, which will prolly get worked out on final release, it works great!
Pssshhh...MSN isn't plastered all over it. You must not be customizing it properly.
