Hey... Just installed FFVII on the PC and was wondering if someone could give me a list of good/useful patches for it?
I know I should really search the forum for these, but that will take forever and I am anxious to play a nicely fixed up game!
Thanks for any help.

Hello and welcome to the boards. :)
Firstly you might want to try the Great FF7 FAQ, that should more or less cover up questions on which patch/setting you need to use for FF7.

Thanks :D ... but I was thinking more along the lines of the hand patch, hi-res cloud patch and the music patch I have read about.
I have the hand patch at the mo, but haven't installed it as I don't know if it's the latest version or what... also I can't seem to actually find the cloud patch... and it seems there are a few music patches to choose from.
Any links or info would be greatly appreciated.

It would best to make sure it works in regular mode first, then get Hardware mode working.....then mess with the expermental patches.

what is the "music patch"?

The FFSF website:
http://ffsf.cjb.net/
It has a "music patch" developed by ficedula....but the package on the FFSF website includes an already-set-up version of FF7Music that will "replace" all of the in-game midis with PSF (playstation sound format) rips from the Playstation version of FF7, thus allowing a more like-the-orginal atmosphere with the OST music. Check it out. It's in the FF7 section of the "soundfonts" section.
