Hi,
Due to nostalgia have installed the game in my notebook, but am having problems getting FF7 to run.
My hardware :
- Compaq Evo with P4-2ghz
- Radeon Mobility 7500
- 512MB RAM
- Win2k SP3
- FF7 with patch 1.02 and Chocobo patch
To allow the game to run faster, I have copied the CDs in ISO format into my HDD, and loaded them virtually via Alcohol 120%.
When I run FF7.exe, it prompts me with this message :
"Insert Game Disc : Please insert FF7 game disc 1, 2 or 3 and try again."
My real CD-ROM drive is D:\ and Alcohol is E:\...could that be a problem? Or does FF7 just doesn't like CD emulation?
Thanks.

(Maybe...) Use the Registry Editor:
Find the FFVII PC Registry
Edit the CD-ROM Drive Setting D:\ ~ E:\

The best way is to make sure you install FF7 from the drive you want to play it. Changing the registry like Nori said should work though.

Thanks for the prompt replies!
In my registry, I have the following. Which one should i change?
AppPath = c:\apps\games\ff7 (my install directory, FULL install)
DataDrive = C:\
DataPath = c:\apps\games\ff7\Data
DiskNo = 0
FullInstall = 1
MoviePath = C:\FF7\Movies <--- this one?
Thanks again!

DataDrive and MoviePath should both be changed to your CD-ROM drive's drive letter. AppPath and DataPath point to your hard drive.
