Just thinking, is there a dual shock function in FF7? PC version doesn't have it, but PSX? And could it be implemented?
-
I dont believe the Dual Shock controller was out at the time FFVII was released
-
there is a program for pc that creates force feedback for pc from the sound output
-
does it work on a thrustmaster firestorm?
-
As noted FF7 doesn't support the added features of the Dual Shock controller.
FF8 for the PS1 does however and so does FF9

i found the software

you can download a shareware version to test it but it works well at my pc ;)

Nice, good work! But, does it work with FF7?
-
yep it works with EVERY game witch has sound output ;)
-
nice! i'll try it tomorrow, thx man!

does it work if the driver doesn't support force feedback. My psx adapter (Super PSJoy) uses the windows driver for xp which doesn't support rumbling. Using the driver that shipped with it (which crashes on xP) I can use rumble under win98/2000.
I guess it wouldn't but has anyone tried it ?

Id recommend searching google some for different drivers. I have a Dual-Ps2 pad adaper somewhere, and i remember getting force feedback to work with drivers i found on some website
-
I've googled all over the place and the only thing I've found was a radioshack driver but all I get in the driver package are two dlls without the inf file so I can't install them.

I just picked up a $15 rumble pad at Best Buy and it works great. Same button format as the PSX/2 controller, so its a cheep way to get rumble for FFVII. :D
