The sequel to Final Fantasy VII has been announced and has a title, too:

mmm ill always think of cloud as the center of ff7's story.... so in that sense, vincent being the lead character is kinda bad...

..."GeoStigma". The outbreak happened(s) at Midgar, caused by close exposure to that Holy/Meteor event. And yes, I recall reading that he does have it. Doesn't quite make sense, since he wasn't in Midgar when meteor was dealt with!

That's all I 'really' know about it. Uh, :weep: that just sucks.

Not necessesarily, there have been indications that there is going to be more than just one new game, so it may be just one that focuses on vincent.
Also the game doesn't appear to be an rpg and to me I wouldn't have thought the charecter of cloud suits any other type of game.
Also (lots of also's here) we already know alot about cloud but know little about vincent, they may be exploring vincent as a lesser known character.

possible.. perhaps they will take the differant characters and give them there own sequal. lol fans ask for a sequal give them enough to shut them up for a while maybe. i dunno just know i can't wait for it don't care its a sequal to the greatest RPG of all time it hasta be good right? well atleast i hope so.

kinda odd it took soo long and they finally come out with new FF7 movie AND game even.. hopefully it hasnt been too long for them. If they do take it out of RPG style that would be just wrong Final Fantasy just hasta be RPG i mean come on especially if it's a sequal to (in not just my oppinion but a vast majority of the gaming world) the greatest RPG of all time. I really do hope that it is an RPG that lives up to it's name anything with an FF7 tag on it has big shoes to fill. But i hope that my assumption about the several games basing each character as a lead turns out right lol i don't know about you guys but i think that would be good. And about the spoiler listed earlier anyone hear if anything about that is mentioned in FF7 AC? cuz... well.. it shoulda been i mean considering the time period and such. lol sorry this gots me all worked up i'm excited an can't wait

So except for the fact that this game looks like they might be making a third person shooter all seems ok, but some pics of a battle would go a long way.... :o

That's not quite correct. The group you are referring to is known as the Deep Ground SOLDIERs (Or DG for short).
"Cerberus" in the title is referring to his gun, afaik (because it has 3 holes) and in one of the SE docs it says "his gun will play the dirge" (or something like that) hence "Dirge of Cerberus".

Still 149.99 USD actually. That price change just happened at E3, and the new PS2 model is launching with that same price. I think Sony's going to ride this new price drop into Christmas, then after Christmas it'll probally go down to 99.99 USD.
