The game crashes during chocobo races so i downloaded the chocobo racing patch.
But when i try to patch it, there is an error.
It says:
Unable to identify your game executable.Do you wish to attempt adaptive patching.
Should I click "yes" or "no" cause' it says something like "might not always work and could corrupt your file.....

Back up the file, click yes. 8)

yeah don't worry about that message, it should happen every time :)

Eidos Interactive actually released an XP patch and it works better than the "chocobo patch" by ficedula. Go to www.eidosinteractive.com to get it.

As far as I am aware there is no Eidos XP Patch, only the AnimeVamp XP patch. Which is not reccomeded by this forum
as stated in the great FF7 FAQ and

eidoses "xp patch" is actually eidos saying to come to this site and dl the one jedwin made, hahaha

Yup, they linked to this site without even asking permission... You would think Eidos would be capable of hosting it themselves.

Yeah, well...
That was done a long time ago.... And back then a few of us, used the Eidos Forum as a Primary Forum and anything else as Secondary.
And in the course of problem solving FF7PC us general users were being listened to from the Forum Administrator (Redlegg41), there. Just about all their Support FAQ was done by the tech users in the FF7 forum there, me included.
Hey...at least they gave Jedwin, the Credit. The rest of us were mentioned because we brought it to their attention and we were regulars there.... I guess. They should have put Qhimm on that call-out, though.
I guess PM Grey Mouser or Redlegg and ask them to add it in...
