:( could someone please get me to the next savepoint? i really have no way around this and the only way i can continue my game is if someone either finds a fix for this (which i havnt been able to find) or if someone is kind enough to play it through to the next savepoint and email me, or post here, the save file after.
thanks

Not sure if you were able to get through that part or not, but I was able to find a patch to get you past those movies.
I believe it was on this one:

Sorry- wasn't too clear on that.
The patch referred to was an IPS patch that did nothing but change the location point of the game - so it moved to the save point directly after the videos would play, if you were having trouble with crashes.
No stats or anything else were changed.

Calm now, that's not the patch. Just a small one to automate savegame fixes whenever someone needs to get past Cosmo Canyon.

Sorry.. saw "animevamp" and instantly, hatred brewed inside of me and i flipped. That forum is full of highly unintelligent people. They can't even make hyperlinks right (I can't tell you how many times the link to " downloads.html" " [yes, with a quotemark at the end of the link] has popped up in my site logs from that place)
Huh, nice little app, that.
Of course, if half those people had a propor OS/ff7 installation and/or didnt pirate the game, it wouldn't be needed *COUGH*
Seriously. I'm half willing to abuse my new job as a computer repair grunt and set up a bunch of different systems of varying specs, install various OS's on them, and install a legit copy of ff7 on all of 'em. I can garuntee they'll all work (save the chocobo racing issue)
Actually, mebbe i can get some help on that.... *makes new thread*
