Title: .PLY & .LMD files
Post by: The SaiNt on 2001-03-01 14:42:00
I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this situtation but I have
SKY_A.LMD
SKY_B.PLY
SKY_C.LMD
SKY_D.PLY
in my battle directory.
What puzzles me is not the existance of these files but the fact that SKY_A.LMD is identical to SKY_C.LMD and SKY_B.PLY is identical to SKY_D.PLY. Are these temp files left over?

Not necessarily, duplicate data isn't unusual in large file collections like this. Like if you have two scenes with identical skies, the architecture of it all might make it easier to make two identical sky files than reference the same data.

Just a theory though, I haven't looked at these files.
