Title: Chocobo World
Post by: mike on 2005-02-13 01:24:10
Is there any kind of patch to fix the problem with chocobo world?  It appears to take up a lot of RAM or somthing.  It decreases the speed of everything else by a huge factor! :o

Do you mean the Chocobo World with PC version of FF8? If it is, that little program doesn't hold so much RAM, some of its threads are using the high priority, so the CPU usage is always near 100%. To avoid it, simply set the priority to below normal or low in Task Manager, then you can play FF8 while running Chocobo World as well.

How do you set the priority?

Go to the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del), and go to the Processes tab.  Find the process you want to change, right-click on it, and choose "Set Priority."  (If you don't know what process you want, go to the Applications tab, right-click a program and click "Go to Process.")
