Title: Constant pausing every second FF7

while im playing no matter WHERE i am menu, cut scenes etc it is CONSTANTLY pasuing for 3 or 4 seconds every 2 seconds, it is very annoyin, can anyone help me?

Hi,

In my opinion the game is not pausing may be the CD is jerking and hanging in your CD ROM. Make sure your CD Rom is clean and CDs are also scratch less.

could it have anything to do with my sound or graphix card?

YUP,

Sound & video also chop if CDs are scratched :(

Most likely it's a codec problem. Sound or/and video.

Most reliable way is to remove all Audio and codec's from your OS.... I never done it for Winxp... but in Win98 they were in the Multimedia icon, in  Control Panel, on the Device Tab.  Once in there they were listed under Audio Compression Codec and Video Compresstion Codec.

I would just highlight each one and push Remove. What should happen after that is Windows automaticly reloads them, when your not looking. Anyway doing that on Win98 fix that problem with me...way back when.
