Title: How do I extract the player character skins?
Post by: Anonymous on 2001-05-10 20:38:00
Guys, I was wondering how do I extract the textures for the players and some 3d models like the Ragnorak and Balamb Garden Mobile? I was thinking of making player skins and some 3d models for Tribes with Worldcraft. I've tried the program "Eight" and the viewer only gives distorted images and crashes (On sappy Win ME anyway!) Check out my site so you can see what I'm talking about I made some skins and models for Star Wars. Thanks, Krun http://www.planetstarsiege.com/krun/index.htm

We'd love to know :) ...
AFAIK nobody's yet made any utilities like that for FF8 that work reliably, ie. on all/nearly all the files.
Qhimm and Halkun? were working on the FF8 models a while ago I think ... don't know if they came up with anything ...

Thanks I'll give that a try I can use "Eight"" to extract the files, but what should I use to rip the .tim files? I'm a newbie to FF8 programming. I got hooked on Final Fantasy years ago with FF3 on SNES :-) Wouldn't a game like Final Fantasy made like Everquest an interactive internet world!! Kewl. I'll be buying FF7 and FF9 for sure! Now I'm hooked again aaarrggghhh!! Krun
