Title: Final Fantasy 8 crashes during an FMV scene...

Hey.

I'm at the part where Rinoa gives Edea the Odine bracelet thing, and the FMV of Edea plays. I get through about half of it, and then it crashes when Edea spreads her arms or something. Is there any way to bypass this FMV so I can continue playing? Or do I have to get a new CD? (mine has a little bit of a scratch on it)

Go to FF8Config, graphics tab, and switch the movie resolution to low.  (There are seperate files on the CD for the low resolution and high resolution movies, chances are that if one of them is damaged, the other is not.)  If you get past the movie, switch back.

I had the exact same problem on the exact same place, I switched the movie resolution to low like Aaron suggested and it worked fine :)
