hey , i live in montreal , and FF8 game is avalaible in french and english ... i bought the french one by mistake... is there any way i can convert it to english ?

AFAIK, each version has its own language files (and a different version of FF8.exe). You won't be able to swap languages without the English version.

if someone send me the language files , will i be able to change it ?

With my friend, Colly, I managed to create you installer that will update dialogues in your game to english. Also, we extracted all files from menu, world and battle module that are containing texts. Finally, I can provide you with english ff8.exe and ff8config.exe . Links are below. Enjoy :).

I think it would have been better to keep this in a PM rather than making parts of FF8 publically available for download (no matter how small or insignificant, which the .exe itself doesn't qualify as, for that matter)... :-?

yo, the exact same thing happened to me. i bought the game expectin it to be english and it turns out its all in french! i tried to play but setting up the controls is impossible and i don't really want to play cuz i won't know what their saying. would it be possible if you PMed me that patch as well. ill PM you along with this post in case this doesn't get read.
