Sticky: We do NOT support downloaded copies of games!

"Help me with my bugged downloaded version" threads are becoming too popular nowadays...

Unless you've gotten a real copy of the game since you posted this (http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?p=59242#59242), you'll have to find some other way to deal with it.

This is the original, apperently on my other post i sort of said it wrong. This is not a downloaded version, this is from the cd's of ff7. i have the game set up where you dont have to put the discs in, and for some reason it freezes up in the laboratory, most likely it happens cause i have windows xp, and as i see in most threads, ff7 is mostly bugged on xp...

Well if you would find it in your heart to get me to the other save point past that scene, it would be much appreciated.  It looks like there isnt any more bugs or glitches after the cosmo canyon, so plz just help a poor ff7 freak out...once again [email protected] on after 1p.m E.T cause of school and you could just I.M me and i would send you my save file. The file is from the original version of ff7 so it should work.

I am starting to think its the FMV thats causing my crash, if anyone cant get me past that save point, is it possible to share your DirectShow file? Dont know if its illegal or not but if it isnt, plz share it cause i do not have my installion C.D. Maybe reinstalling DirectShow might help.

MOD EDIT: Elentor is right, double-posting is bad.

Cloud_rulz: Don't double post, it's against the forum rules.

And how did you manage to just install FF7, yet do not have your Installation CD?

If you have the Ultima Edition, or some other downloaded/cracked/pirated copy, please don't ask for help with it.

Erm, I think a no-CD patch counts as "cracked."  And who knows what it really is, since you've already mentioned that you downloaded it...  It'd be wierd if you got the real version installed without the installation CD.

Well...

You can upload your save-game on some server and post it here, so someone would "Watch it for you" (you can send it to me btw, see profile details for e-mail). That problem is well know, but there is no always-working solution. Search this forum for "cosmo canyon crash" (+eidos) if you want to know more.

lol, well the game is was installed when i had the c.d's, so if you look at other threads, they might explain to you how to be able to use the game "without" putting the c.d's in, well my cousin did it for me, i didnt do anything, and if it would be a different kind of game, i dont think Dziugo would have gotten me past the cosmo part, btw DZIUGO YOU ROCK MAN  :D lol

Only thing i need is on how am i able to watch the FMV's. The upside down patch doesnt work, which i believe is the ff7betap.exe file. when i install it says its not able to run on MS-DOS or something like that. I do not know but i need tips on direct x and how should i use it. I dled the one that is directx 9.0 but it wont work. To make my fmv's available on the movie folder, do i have to put direct x on that folder, or on the ff7 folder? i know i sound confusing but if anyone can do anything, plz help.

um i installed it and i received the DUCK folder, what would i need to do to view cutscenes because i still cant see them for some reason, the movies in my "movies" folder are all 3kb in size, 00:02 long, AVI format and when i click play it just runs a black screen on windows media player. In the game it just goes black screen and goes to the next scene

If that's true, you are definately not using a legit copy of FF7.  We've made it clear that we do not support pirated/cracked copies; I'm going to have to give you a warning, which will be withdrawn if you can prove that you have a real copy of the game.  (And it looks like you're posting from a couple other accounts.  I have no idea why, just know that I'll be suspicious if they start asking for help too.)

Aaron you dont know what copy i have, i said it once b4 that i have the copy from the original install cd, i just dont have the c.ds with me hence i cant install the scences again which is why im asking for an alternative, also remember im runnning on windows xp, i have patch 1.2 and everything and still dont work. i could manage the game without the scenes so stop your stupid threats.

Also i am not posting from multiplier accounts, what kind of dumb shiz would that be? and if you dont believe me thats your problem

It might not be you, but someone else is posting from the same IP address then.  They're all recently active; it'd be wierd if it wasn't at least someone you know.

The movies like that ("all 3kb in size, 00:02 long") is a clear sign that you're using a downloaded copy.  I don't care if you actually have the CDs somewhere or not, we will still not support a downloaded copy.

If you continue to argue about this without offering something more substantial, you will be banned.

i think your wrong and you should check my IP adress and compare them to me, and im a first time user here, so i am 100000000000% sure i dont know them, i dont know why is the reason you came up with that conclusion that either im them or know them, but get your facts straight b4 you accuse someone.

When the c.ds were available my cousin had this game installed on his computer and his cutscences worked fine, he also has xp and dont know why this computer does not show the cutscenes because we practically got the same comp, since i have everything, most likely what i need to do is get the install cd and get the "movies" file into my computer again and it might work, i have read other threads and they say that...but i dont have my c.ds

Are you telling me this is simply coincidence?

How about this?  A completely different address (not even the same subnet) -- This is the address you just posted from.

(I blurred out the address in the screen shots to protect your privacy, but I can post it too if you want.)

Your computer doesn't show the cutscenes because you don't have them (your movies are all 3kb and short).

Final warning.

um that shiz is all wrong cause i only have ONE account, thats either a mistake in the forums or someone is hacking me lol....anyways...thats NOT me i guarantee you that and are those people actually asking the same question as me?????????????cause i swear its not me...that information you have there is wrong and i know it for a fact....

If there was a way for me to prove to you i have a ELIGIBLE copy of the game i would...but i dont...so basically you could do w/e you want...i cant stop you or anything because it looks like no matter what i say...your going the opposite way
