I have gridlines when I run in hardware mode. This doesn't happen in software rendering mode. I have a Pentium II 350mhz with 64MB ram and version 1.02 of FF7. My graphics card is a NVidia Riva 128. Does anybody know what to do? Thanx in advance.
edit: I've already tried turning off antialiasing, that doesn't solve the problem.

Try using just the CONFIG from 1.02, and the normal exe. See if that works.

Err... I didn't back up ff7.exe when I put in the patch, so I can't do that.
Actually, I figured out that by lying to the config tool and telling it that I have a TNT, I can get the gridlines to go away, but now lights are flickery. Oh well, that's better than the gridlines.

You can just extract the original FF7.exe from the Install CD.
