Title: Jenova won't recognize my save file
Post by: Tain on 2005-09-17 01:21:00
I'm trying to edit my save file (save00.ff7) in Jenova, but it won't show. When I open it up with the program, it says "The selected save file could not be opened." This even happens while I'm not playing the game. Is there something wrong?

What do you mean? That you tried to edit it while playing ff7? Or something else?

I mean that Jenova just displays this:

Also, my music just stopped working. Soundwave's unmuted and everything, but it just doesn't play.

Is your game downloaded by any chance? The save files from that don't work... Anyways what is soundwave..? I don't recall needing that to have the music in ff7 work.

Yeah, it's downloaded. I had my FF7 PC discs, but they broke long ago.

Is this also the reason FF7Music doesn't work, either?

Listen very carefully:
No support for downloaded copies of the game.
This is stickied in the Game Tweaking forum (http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=3800), mentioned at the top of my FF7 FAQ thread, and also plain common sense.
