Title: Crashing everywhere...

I've readup on the big FAQ so no yelling at me plz ;)

I have an ATI 9800pro and have tried downloading the latest drivers etc etc, and the latest FF patches but still fail 8-bit palleted textures and the game crashes after 2-3 screen changes no matter where i am in the game....anyone know any solution to this problem? thanks ;)

Do you have installed the nvidia patch? it works with the ati cards ^^

i did, but i had it on hardware accelerated and for some reason setting it to that on both ff8 and 7 screws it up (fixed the crashing by setting it to software) any idea why hardware accelerated would mess up these games?
